There are a number: Sling surgeries use a type of tape, tissue or mesh placed under the urethra to keep it in its normal position. The tape surgeries can be brief, but if mesh is placed, deep incisions are involved: it is longer/more hospitalization. Some risk of mesh complications. Retropubic suspension surgery is major surgery where the vaginal wall is sutured to supporting ligaments. All about 80% effective.
