Ankle Sprain: The fact that you could not bear weight for 3 days is not a good sign. You can have either a boney, soft tissue, or combination injury. X rays should be taken, and a removable boot applied. Based on the orthopod or podiatrist you see, you may need an MRI. The fact that there was no bruising is good, and sometimes pain is high but the injury minor. Hopefully, it is just a minor twist. Dr Blake
