Hand surgeon: I recommend that you consult a hand surgeon as you could be dealing with a carpal tunnel syndrome caused by thickened ligaments in the wrist pressing on nerves passing into the hand and fingers. Predisposing factors are repetitive motions in typing, computer use, etc. If it's that,Treatment may be wearing a brace, cortisone injection or surgery.

Get an answer: You could have a pinched nerve at wrist, carpal tunnel syndrome, but other problems may be contributing. A hand specialist can help. Cannot answer your "worry" question, as that is up to you, but get a referral to hand expert.
