Is it common / normal for a urinalysis dip strip to result a trace of rbc, while zero rbcs are seen under microscope? is there any medical concerns?

Some substances: that can cause + result on urine dipstick test for blood include myoglobin. Also, if the urine sits around for a while before microscopic exam is performed, red cells could be destroyed, resulting in false negative micro exam. Repeat the test and, if still dipstick + and rbc negative, ask your doctor for his explanation.

Yes: This is very common. Red cells break apart in a dilute urine.
