Likely hardware: If it is not a discharge and it has the same size, shape, color all the time, it is probably something that is in the tampon that is showing up when it gets soaked from secretions. There is nothing physical inside you that will show up the same time/same size/same shape each time. Sounds like a hardware issue.

Green discharge: Im not sure what you mean by "not a discharge". A green spot is not normal. Have you had any pelvic surgery? Is there any odor to the spot? I would advise you to see your local OBGYN for a pelvic exam.
