I just removed my tampon and i had dark green discharge on the tip, its period day 5 and i never had any discharge, pain, or itch before. please help?

The color of a bruise is from blood that has diffused into the skin. At first red, then it can change into really cool colors as it gets old and slowly absorbed back into the body, like purple or yellow or brown or green. So my h=guess is it's some residual old blood.
