Takes longer: You may have stretched or torn muscle fibers. Heat, massage and IBP may help. Don't lift as much when you start back. Check with a doctor , if it is not better in 2 more weeks.

Be seen: If you have tried testing it and NSAIDs and it is not better at two weeks, you may want to be seen to be accurately diagnosed to make sure it is nothing more serious.
