Try steroid cream...: By the reported sequence of events, you got contact dermatitis, for which you may try applying 0-5-1% hydrocortisone ointment gingerly twice daily and see. How soon does the topical symptoms may improve and fade ? That depends on personal constitutional features. So, try it, watch, & see, and seek evaluation if not improving / resolving as expected; it is okay as long as getting better day by day.
