No cause for worry: Herpes is not by such contact. To be ultra safe, mention this to your obstetrician. If she feels it necessary, you can have a blood test to see if you might already have HSV1; if so, you can't get it again. Until your baby is a month old, it will be important to prevent intimate contact of your baby with your son (e.g. no kissing). Otherwise no worries!. Best wishes for you and your growing family
