Ultrasound states there is redundancy of the soft tissues of the introitus. does this mean anything?

The introitus: is the outer opening of the vagina. Although this is part of a complete pelvic exam, it is not usually discussed in a radiologist ultrasound report. Exams performed at gyn office may discuss this finding as part of the full pelvic exam. Redundancy means there is extra tissue perhaps from childbirth or prolapse but does not indicate serious disease. Talk to your doctor about the finding.
