Thalassemia: Thalassemia , also called "Mediterranean anemia " , affects people from that area as well as descendants of the same. There are basically 2 forms- Major and Minor. Most likely your's is minor. Most people wit this form are OK but do exhibit tiredness and other symptoms of low blood count.

Need a good Doctor..: Skip beats are not uncommon but are relatively harmless especially in folks under 50 years of age. The caues are varied; most often it is due to excess use of Coffee(caffeine) which is also present in various Cols drinks. You need a medical doctor to check you for the cause.
