Either way : The Foley catheter goes into the bladder through the urethra. The uterine manipulator passes into the uterus through the vagina. The order of insertions is not important and likely depends on the surgeon preference. Often the nurse inserts the Foley first and the surgeon inserts the other. Changing the order would not cause problems

It doesn't matter.: The order in which these two devices are placed makes no difference to the case. Hope this helps.
