A member asked:

Shooting pains in your arms? what could this possibly be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Arm pains: The symptoms are nonspecific and more info is needed. Do the pains occur with arm movements or at rest? Is the entire arm involved or only the joints? Are the pains Sharp and fleeting or a dull constant ache? Your physician will take a thorough history and perform a careful examination of your arms as well as your neck in order to make a diagnosis. Appropriate tests and referrals will be ordered.
