On saturday i had two positive at home tests. very faint though. yesterday i experienced some spotting and had a blood test drawn and it came back negative. could this mean that i had a miscarriage?

However, up to 1 out of 3 early pregnancies fail to continue and result in what seems like a late menstrual period. A negative blood pregnancy test after a failed pregnancy means that your uterus has expelled the remnants of this pregnancy. In this circumstance, this is good.

HCG levels rise to low levels but then fall. Blood testing is more accurate than urine testing. This is an extremely common occurrence and, for the most part, nothing to worry about.
