Sitting wrong: Whenever you sit your spine take the form of a C, and loses of the Cervical- Lordosis, thoracic- kyphosis lumbar-Lordosis as a single C- kyphosis. This posture is abnormal. You should Sit up straight 90 degrees, regain the normal curvatures of the spine. Whenever you stand, the ligaments are used to an abnormal posture, and by straighten the chest it hurts. Sit straight, take an Aleve, (naproxen) get up, walk around, do it frequently slowly the ligaments will change in shape, as well the vertebral bodies and the pain will slowly go away. Remember you took time to induce the degenerative changes. The recovery also will take time. Perhaps you should consult an orthopedic surgeon and have an MRI of the spine to assess the extent of the injury.
