Pepto: It's safe to take peptobismol according to instructions while you're waiting for culture results, but be aware that the pepto may make your stools black. In the meantime take in adequate fluids and avoid harsh roughage in your diet. We don't normally recommend Imodium (loperamide) in c diff cases, but over 15 bm's a day is getting excessive and your MD may allow short term use if diarrhea worsens. Check first
