Several days: The maximum time for casual 2 cigarettes a day smokers is about 2-3 days. If you are being tested for a job it should be gone very quickly.

3 - 5 days: Nicotine test detects the presence of cotinine - a metabolite of nicotine which can be found in urine 3-5 days after use of nicotine.
