Snotty 2 wk baby: Most infants up to 4 months of age have nasal congestion so that is within normal limits. You have to ask yourself is he in respiratory distress? That involves any of 4 things: 1) Breathing more than 60 times/min;2) Nasal flaring each time he inhales;3) Retracting his chest wall as he inhales;4)Use of the accessory muscles of respiration.
