Should you soak foot with sesamoiditis in hot bath or ice instead? also can sesamoiditis cause symtoms similar to plantar fasciitis/heel pain?

Don't strain it...: Sesamoiditis can be a frustrating condition to have and treat. Whether acutely painful or chronic in nature, staying off of the foot or severely restricting weight bearing is essential. Acute inflammation responds to ice application where as chronic may respond better to heat. The body's natural way is with heat. The condition is similar to fasciitis in that they both hurt when bearing weight.

Try both: see which you like better there is no right or wrong here. The symptoms are usually pain…can they be similar yes….treatment also would consist of trying to off eight bear the first met head region and trying to avoid propulsion or bending of the first metatarsophalangeal joint.
