Yes-herpes is tricky: Most people don't have outbreaks once they acquire herpes-so hopefully that is you, since they can be painful and embarrassing. You might be a risk though, even WITHOUT obvious rashes/sores because of something called 'asymptomatic viral shedding'. The best thing is to TALK to your partner(s) AND use protection. Barrier protection isn't 100% though for a number of reasons. There are antivirals too
