Possibly: Tooth grinding (brutish) can cause bone loss and destabilization. Please see a gum/bone specialist, a Periodontist, for an evaluation. Referral to an Orthodontist may also be in order. Sounds like your problem is in early stages. Don't wait for problem to progress. Early treatment is easiest and least expensive.

Bruxism: You may be grinding your teeth more than you think. In addition, bruxism itself usually does not cause shifting of teeth, but bone loss due to the trauma, over time, can weaken tooth support and allow them to move more readily. This requires evaluation by a local dentist... please call for an appointment.
