can serotonin levels be tested?

Please repost: Please repost and include the tissue or organ of interest: Blood? Brain? Left kidney? Right big toe? Also why you are asking: are you asking because you've fallen for the misconception that low serotonin "levels" in the brain cause depression? (They don't. That notion has been debunked over and over again.)
