OCD go slow and high: OCD (arguably anxiety disorders in general) are notorious for requiring higher doses and longer treatment for onset of benefit as well as maximum benefit. Your ultimate target dose may be as high as 20mg and you may not feel noticeably better until 6-8 weeks into treatment. Appropriate psychotherapy should be combined with your medication.

It's a process: Finding the right dose of an SSRI for you is a process that might take more time than sometimes we expect. You are taking a small dose. Please be patient, keep taking it and if after 4 weeks there is still nothing then your doctor will discuss with you the next step. Don't give up on it yet. These medications can be very good. For best results, consider adding therapy. Good luck!

Not easy to treat: Lexipro can be helpful with OCD problems but the dosage may have to be increased over time. OTher techniques may also be helpful
