A member asked:

Are anal fissures always accompanied by pain and constant bleeding after a bm? or one could have them yet no pain and no bleeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. James Lin answered

Either way...: CONSTANTLY no pain and bleeding is impossible and being intermittent is the rule to reflect the degree of stretching & tearing by the well-formed stool, degree of inflammation/infection with possible fistula, personal healing ability, etc. So, the symptoms may go either way with fluctuating intermittency.
