May be allergy: There are a few that react to ibuprofen like any food allergy, with swelling,hives, rash or worse.If the timing makes it a suspect in the eye swelling, don't give it again.The loritidine products are too slow to act to provide any benefit .Diphenhydramine (benedryl) might help because it works faster, but swelling may persist regardless, it may stop new signs from appearing.
