Antifungal treatment: Jock itch is caused by a fungus - so you need an anti-fungal medicine to wipe it out. I've seen some severe cases that have required pills. Depending on how bad yours is, you may or may not get away with an over-the-counter cream. Something like miconazole should work fine. The other key is not allowing the fungus to have a good environment to grow in...fungus LOVES moisture, so you MUST stay dry.
