No!: First, why was an US done? Was this related to the thyroid? One abnormal TSH reading of this level is not enough to diagnose hypothyroidism. There are a lot of reasons for potential variability. The test should be confirmed other thyroid labs checked. This may be subclinical hypothyroidism, which may or may not need tx & may resolve or progress. Do not panic! Even if thyroid prob it is treatable!
