I have had about 3 concussions in my lifetime. (i am 45). i was never knocked out but did get nauseous and had terrible headaches. i am concerned about developing a brain disorder because of this past trauma. please discuss my potential prognosis.

Likely fine.: The concern involves CTE, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, an issue from playing contact sports, mainly professionally. I think you did have 3 concussions without loss of consciousness, but the key item is reversibility. If you have some cognitive issues, might be worthwhile to pursue, but what you describe is minor as compared to what happens in football.

Hard to say: Hard to say. However the studies being done on traumatic brain injuries as you know are not hopeful. The brain tissue once destroyed or injured will develop deficits for you savoy age. See your doctor now for evaluation so you see what your baseline of damage is.
