Ganglion?: Need more info to help sort out why your hand and arm might be going numb. Numbness is caused by a decrease in blood flow to an area, such as when your leg goes to sleep when you sit on it, or it could be a pinched nerve in your neck, rare at your age, or in your arm. A lump the showed yp quickly could be a ganglion, which is a fluid filled cyst. If it is bothersome, get it checked out.
