It seems likely: It seems likely that meat can cause cancer. The WHO has classified processed meats including hot dogs, salami, sausages and ham as a class 1 carcinogen which means that there is strong evidence that processed meats can cause cancer. Red meat, such as pork, beef and lamb has been classified as a 'probable' cause of cancer.
