Sorry: Once a gout attack is triggered, it is difficult to stop. High uric acid levels do not correlate perfectly with risk of experiencing a gouty joint. If a night out triggers gout, most patients would agree that it was not worth it. However, if it does not, most patients will agree that it was worth it.

I have high uric acid levels. I also have only one kidney. I seldom eat red meat. I don't drink. Could there be a connection? I have mild gout.
