Sorry: Once a gout attack is triggered, it is difficult to stop. High uric acid levels do not correlate perfectly with risk of experiencing a gouty joint. If a night out triggers gout, most patients would agree that it was not worth it. However, if it does not, most patients will agree that it was worth it.
