Local inflammation: There are lot of microbes on our skin that can enter our local skin - when you shave, you are causing some small damage to local skin where bacteria can get in and cause local infection. I would recommend that avoiding shaving skin would be a good idea. Applying local antibiotic cream such as Bacitracin may help. If they do continue to enlarge, I would recommend seeing your provider.
