A member asked:

Can you get an infection from an emg? a deadly one? was wiped with acohol before every stick before and after

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infection very rare: EMG studies typically do not result in infections. The needles are fully sterilized and packed prior to the test, and never used again. The alcohol may add a bit to protection, and since there is no injected chemical, very hard to result in infection. Not sure why you are focusing on "deadly infection". Would some counseling assist?
