Switching Meds: The Effexor (venlafaxine) will flush out of your system within the next couple of days. If that was making you feel worse, your mood will start to improve gradually once you stop taking it. If you felt better on celexa when on it before, then hopefully you will again, but it can take 4+ weeks before it gets up to its full effect. Have you considered seeing a therapist? That often helps along with the meds.
