Can't really give: precise answer. There are several grading/scoring systems to try to predict the severity of pancreatitis. Grade E suggests a certain appearance on CT scan called the Balthazar Grade. It must be combined with an estimate of Necrosis Percentage to get the Computed Tomography Severity Index. Grade E refers to fluid collections and is associated with moderate severity. Acute healing time: 6+ weeks
