Cysts in earlobes: Earlobes are common places to form cysts. These cysts will occasionally get inflamed, become larger and painful, sometimes coinciding with menstrual periods in women. It's important not to squeeze it so that it won't get more inflamed and/or scarred. Sometimes intralesional injections of cortisone by your dermatologist may help settle the cyst down. If not, it may need to be excised.
