Studied/benefit: We have known for decades that vaccines with dead or synthetic components are safe in pregnancy .Everything in the TdaP is non-living. We advise women to avoid living vaccines like nasal flu/MMR to be safe, not because we have firm evidence of harm. The alternative is having a baby is not able to build their own immunity to whooping cough until older, but mothers can pass enough to avoid death
