Can i get the tdap shot at 38 weeks pregnant? even though they are inducing me at 38 weeks and 3 days ? last time i got it was in 2016 with my first pregnancy?

You certainly can get the shot and it would boost your own protection against acquiring and passing Pertussis to baby in their first several months. Getting it earlier would have produced more immunity passed directly to baby before birth, but it still has value to you both this close to delivery.

It would have been better to have the vaccination earlier in the trimester. Your antibody response will be not optimal at day 3, but some level of protection for the baby may occur. In addition, temperature elevation during labor is most likely not related to the vaccination.
