Likely virus: It seems like your little one has a cold. If he/she gets any worse, even less of an appetite or a fever, i would have your doctor reevaluate your baby.

Biral illness: If your baby saw the doctor a week ago and was okay that is reassuring. Cough in the winter months is usually a viral syndrome. As long as the baby is alert, drinking fluids, urinating, and not having difficulty breathing it's okay to watch and wait. Should the symptoms worsen or persist for longer than 10 days, however, don't hesitate to go back to the doctor for a recheck.
