Anal lump: An external hemorrhoid would be the commonest thing causing a lump in the anus. These may be painless, itchy, may bleed and if a blood clot forms in one, they become quite painful and tender. Other anal lumps can be benign skin tags or an abscess which is usually painful, tender and filled with pus.. See your physician for diagnosis, however.
