How do they check you for diabetes.my stomach dr said i might have diabetes. my family has a history of it to. thirsty & feel lightheaded all the time?

Blood tests: Blood tests will tell you if you have diabetes. Either fasting blood sugar (126 or above) , hemoglobin A1c test (6.5% or above) or an oral glucose tolerance test. See your doctor to have these order for you. Good luck.
