Kojic acid: It has been used to treat certain pigmented skin conditions and will cause lightening of the skin. However, you may be sensitive to it. I would purchase the smallest amount you can and try it - it is safe for use as a cosmetic. As far as sun - it may make the skin more sensitive. Just be careful.
