Many things: If your goal and expectation is to convert a kid into a totally normal one, that does not exist. However, many diets and specific vitamins etc have been suggested with various degrees of scientific accuracy. Love, patience and good nutrition in general is advisable, will not hurt. Anecdotically vitamins, natural foods, etc have been advocated, but you re safest asking your dr before experimenting.

Fad / myth: Autism does not respond to fad diets any more than the chromosome defect patients with Down syndrome did years ago when it was offered as beneficial to them. This has been offered up on internet sites and will play out over time.Support groups are better able to connect now and the cycle of popularity within non-standard therapies is shorter. We would love to find something that helps.
