my 7 week old's foot sometimes shakes when sleeping and when the foot is pushed back toward the shin. is this a reflex? is it normal?

Normal: These symptoms are normal for an infant. Due to their immature nervous system they will have some "shakes" and reflexes that would be pathological in an adult. If you touch the baby's foot when it is shaking at it stops the shaking this normal. If the shaking persists then have the infant's doctor exam him.
