My husband's hep c has been in remission for 20-30 years. his new doc says his levels are elevated, but has not prescribed treatment. is that normal?

Hep C: Before starting treatment for Hep C infection, many other tests are required, (e,g genotype, Viral load etc..). It may be that the doctor is waiting for those test result to be back or wants to refer your husband to a specialist with experience treating Hep C or waiting for insurance approval... What ever the reason is, you may want to ask the doctor what the next step will be..
