Yes!: Ascending colon cancer's first presentation could be anemia! check please occult blood in stool too and if positive a colonoscopy is needed immediately!

Yes.: There are many causes of anemia (low iron count) including chronic bleeding. Colon cancer can cause chronic bleeding, leading to anemia. This can usually be evaluated with checking your stools for signs of blood loss and a colonoscopy?
