Atelectasis: I understand your distress. You are a Caring Daughter! Atelectasis is a collapse of lung tissue affecting part or all of one lung. It prevents normal oxygen absorption to healthy tissues. Memory loss may be due to less oxygen to brain, neurological condition, or Alcohol use. Speak with Pulmonologist, and have Consultation by Neurologist for Diagnosis and Management of your dad’s condition.
