A member asked:

Are moderate to severe cramps normal during first trimester? i have to stand still when they happen because they hurt so bad. when should i be worrie

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Most people have some cramps a few days after the missed menses which can last a week or so . Sometimes these can be more exaggerated in intensity & length of time .If it is more on 1 side it could be a corpus luteum cyst of pregnancy . An ultra sound can sort this out , & if the u/s is normal I wouldn't worry.
