Yes: Implantation bleeding is uncommon, if it does occur it is very light and about 6-7 days after ovulation. The exact date of ovulation can vary from cycle to cycle, so it could occur occur just before an expected period if ovulation was delayed.

Probably yes: Following fertilization, it is estimated that it takes the fertilized egg (morula, blastocyst...) 7 to 10 days to enter the uterine cavity and about 24 to 48 hours to implant into the endometrium. Experiencing some staining or early pregnancy bleeding from that point on may indeed represent "implantation bleeding" or may be due to other events associated with "placentation"
