I'm taking metronidazole with amoxicillin together but im not sure if i eat them at the same time or wait an hour or so to eat the other one?

Not a huge diff: but the pills are huge. There is not an interaction between the drugs. Amoxicillan is a bit more absorbed WITH food and metronidazole is so well absorbed that doesnt matter. The main consideration is both pills are HUGE. You might separate them if they physically bounce around and irritate the stomach or throat.
